AWS is where many agency workloads already run, and AWS GovCloud (US) is where many of the regulated ones live. We build there in the same modular, documented way as anywhere else.
How we use it
- Landing zones in GovCloud. A small set of accounts with clear purposes, guardrails as code, central logging and pipelines, so the first workload arrives on a foundation that will not need rework.
- Amazon Bedrock. Foundation models through Bedrock, including in GovCloud where available, grounded in the agency's data with retrieval, and evaluated before they ship.
- Data pipelines. Records copied from source systems on a schedule, shaped in a warehouse, with a written definition for every number a dashboard shows.
- Sensors and devices. Field devices sending readings through managed ingestion services, buffered at the gateway, landing inside the agency's account.
Where it fits
- A first AI workload in GovCloud, from landing zone to production.
- Document search and summarization over the agency's own records with Bedrock.
- A sensor network reporting into AWS, with alerts and a dashboard that someone actually watches.
